More About Klein Insurance Agency, Inc. Klein Insurance Agency, Inc. was founded in 1976 by Kenneth J. Klein. After several years working as a captive agent with two different insurance companies, Mr. Klein recognized the value offered to consumers by the Independent Insurance Agency System. Therefore, in 1988 Mr. Klein purchased what was then Todd County Agency, Inc. located in Clarissa, MN and also maintained his office in Eagle Bend, MN. During the period from 1988 to about 2004 Klein Insurance primarily provided mostly Property & Casualty Insurance to its clientele. In 2005, aided by Ken’s son Chris (who joined the Agency in 1997), the Agency undertook a successful initiative into health insurance, particularly health insurance for Medicare Beneficiaries. The Agency also expanded its operating territory to include the States of Arkansas, North Carolina, and both North and South Dakota. Both Ken and Chris actively work at the Agency today which employs several other licensed staff members.
